Terms of service
Last updated: 2 May 2026 · Effective version: v1.2
These terms govern your use of Glinto. They’re a contract between you (the customer) and Glinto, Lda. (us). If you don’t agree with them, don’t use the service.
1. What Glinto is
Glinto is a software-as-a-service web analytics platform. You install a small JavaScript snippet on sites you own or are authorised to analyse, and we show you aggregated, cookieless traffic data plus an AI-generated weekly recap.
2. Your account
- You’re responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
- One account per organisation; share seats within the account.
- You agree to provide accurate billing information.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent’s consent.
3. What you can and can’t do
You may:
- Install the pixel on any site you own or have permission to operate.
- Share the aggregated data you see in the dashboard.
- Use our REST API within your plan’s rate limits.
You may not:
- Install the pixel on sites you don’t control.
- Use Glinto for anything that violates GDPR or local privacy law.
- Resell the service without a signed Business agreement.
- Reverse-engineer, benchmark for competitive intelligence, or scrape our dashboard.
4. Trial and billing
- Every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial, no card required. The first 50 customers to sign up get an extended 60-day trial (the “launch promo”).
- At the end of the trial your account drops to the Free plan (1 site, 3,000 pageviews/month) unless you pick a paid plan.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Annual billing saves 20%.
- We don’t charge for overages — we stop ingesting events if you exceed your quota.
- Refunds: pro-rata on the current month if you cancel. Annual plans are refundable within the first 14 days only.
5. Data ownership and processing
Your aggregated traffic data is yours. Our infrastructure processes it under the terms of our Privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement. If you leave, we export your data on request within 30 days and then delete it.
6. What we guarantee and what we don’t
We are transparent about what Glinto can and cannot promise:
We guarantee:
- No cookies, no localStorage, no cross-site tracking. Your visitors are never tracked across websites.
- IP addresses are hashed immediately at the edge using SHA-256 with a daily-rotating salt. The raw IP is never stored anywhere.
- All data at rest (D1 database, account data, configuration) is stored exclusively in EU data centres.
- We never sell, share, or use your analytics data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
- Data is never used to train AI models outside your own account.
- Our full sub-processor list is published at /subprocessors. You will be notified 30 days before any change.
We cannot guarantee (without Cloudflare Enterprise):
- That the Cloudflare Worker processing an inbound request always executes in an EU data centre. When a visitor connects from outside Europe, the nearest Cloudflare edge node may be outside the EU. However, no personal data is persisted at the edge — the IP is hashed in memory and only the irreversible hash is forwarded.
- That Analytics Engine stores event data exclusively in the EU. Analytics Engine does not offer jurisdiction controls. Because we do not store personal data in Analytics Engine (only hashed metrics), no GDPR transfer restrictions apply.
This is the same technical reality that applies to Plausible, Fathom, Simple Analytics, and every other Cloudflare-based analytics service. For European websites with European visitors, the Worker runs in the EU in the vast majority of cases.
7. Service level
- Target availability: 99.9% monthly, measured by the ingest endpoint.
- If we fall below 99.5% in a given month, you get a pro-rata credit on your next invoice. No paperwork required.
- Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance.
8. Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or adjust features. If we remove something you’re paying for, we’ll refund the pro-rata portion of your plan. We’ll announce material changes at least 30 days in advance.
9. Termination
You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. We can terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or fail to pay. In both cases we’ll export and hand over your data unless a legal obligation prevents us.
10. Warranty and liability
Glinto is provided “as is”. We do our best, but analytics is probabilistic — the numbers are the closest estimate our sampling method can produce, not a court-admissible count.
Our liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages. This doesn’t limit rights you have under mandatory Portuguese or EU consumer law.
11. Law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes go to the courts of Lisbon, except where mandatory consumer law lets you pick a court in your own country.
